Main research interest areas are Database systems, Information Retrieval, Information Extraction, Fuzzy sets & Fuzzy Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent systems, Knowledge representation, Knowledge based applications, Ontology, Natural language processing.

Member of the Programing, Logic and Intelligent Systems (PLIS) research group at Roskilde University and member of the interdisciplinary IT research project Semantic Information Access through Biomedical Ontologies (Siabo).

Member of Organizing and Program Committee for FQAS 2002 and FQAS 2009. Member of the Program Committee for FQAS 2004.
